Top 5 Best Wireless Earbuds Under $50 (That You’ll Actually Love)

Top 5 Best Wireless Earbuds Under $50

Wireless earbuds certainly aren’t a new product to hit the market, but the release of the Apple EarPods recently has revitalized interest. However, it’s spending $200 on a wireless pair of the included earbuds with an iPhone isn’t in the cards for most. While there are plenty of knockoffs, only a few hit the inexpensive mark while still delivering excellent performance.

Yes, each of the options on this list retains a slightly older design, with a wire connecting the two drivers together. Regardless, this cord is easily tucked away and quickly forgotten. Outside of that, we looked for a few things when choosing the earbuds here.

Each of the earbuds needed to have excellent, although not exceptional, auditory performance. In addition, they needed to carry the latest Bluetooth standard as well as carrying a smart design that promotes comfort and on-the-go use.

With that being said, let’s dive into the 5 best wireless earbuds under $50.

Phaiser BHS-730

Starting off the list, the Phaiser BHS-730 is a strong balance between the strong points of all of the other earbuds on this list. Upfront, the audio quality from these earbuds is excellent considering the price.

While it isn’t the best experience out, there is nice separation between all the frequency ranges, easily breaking apart instruments and providing an excellent stereo image.

Outside of that, Phaiser has included some features that make these a solid pair of wireless earbuds as well. Of course, the Bluetooth 4.1 standard is here, providing up around 30ft of line-of-sight coverage before dying off.

While not featuring an IPX coating, the Liquipel coating is good for keep sweat from ruining the earbuds and even protecting them against the occasional spill.

Icing off all of that, the BHS-730s come in a variety of colors with including wings to keep them securely in your ears. Oh, and they’re magnetic which is always nice.

 Anker SoundBuds

The Anker SoundBuds are a solid runner-up, being significantly cheaper than the Phaisers and providing the same or comparable features. However, there are differences, mainly in the performance of these earbuds.

The admittedly small, 6mm drivers really suffer in the low-end department, muddying up the entire frequency spectrum. While these earbuds don’t sound offensive, they sound premium by any means. The easiest comparison to make would be a pair of earbuds included with most phones.

However, there’s a lot more here to sell the earbuds. The fit of them is excellent, with plenty of ear tips to customize them perfectly to fit your ears. Combine that with a lightweight 15g weight and the SoundBuds are superbly comfortable, despite their price.

Of course, Bluetooth 4.1 is present, as well as IPX4 coating which protects against most liquid situations so long as you don’t throw the earbuds into a large body of water. The slightly lower battery life is a low-point but easily forgotten when actually in use.

SENSO Bluetooth Headphones

The SENSO Bluetooth headphones clock in as the most expensive option on the entire list. And for good reason. These earbuds deliver excellent performance, a solid feature set, and an incredibly comfortable design.

Auditorily, these are easily the nicest sounding earbuds on this list. The separation will have you thinking these earbuds cost easily double the price. An impressive (for Bluetooth) frequency response reaching down to 20Hz is easily achieved with only a mere follow-off at that end.

Of course, the usual amenities are present as well. Bluetooth 4.1 shows back up again, with CVC 6.0 noise suppression, and waterproofing is covered by the IPX7 nano-coating.

This coating will not only protect against sweat and rain but will keep the headphones alive even through full submersion. I wouldn’t recommend testing it out, but it’s a solid backup to have.

8 hours of constant battery life is plenty to make it through the day on a single charge, but if not, Senso included a 12V adapter for charging in your car.

LUOBOD Bluetooth Headphones

On the other end of the spectrum, the LUOBOD Bluetooth Headphones are the most inexpensive on this list, but hold their own amongst the lineup. The audio experience is about in the middle for this list, comparable to something like Apple earphones (the wired version, that is).

While not incredibly robust, there is a nice low-mid punch to makeup for the lack of bass and the top-end doesn’t become too unmanageable.

However, there are issues. A slightly lower battery life is a bit annoying but easily bypassed in a day by trying to conserve battery life. While there is no official coating, the earbuds claim to be “sweatproof” so there’s probably some sort of coating on them. With that being said, I wouldn’t go testing that if you want to keep them working.

Still, these earbuds are solid performers and, while light on the features, still stand up to every other pair on this list.

TREBLAB XR500

Rounding out the list is a pair of earbuds that attempt to give the best of all of the rest. Starting off, the performance comes in just shy of the Senso offering. The lows are full and rounded and the highs are present, while not being too offensive. A slightly more scooped sound is present which may not be your preference, but certainly isn’t too over-exaggerated.

In addition to the excellent performance, these earbuds also hold the longest battery life of any pair of this list, as well as carrying the top IPX7 coating to totally waterproof them. The bar that hits over the ear give some stability overall. However, these hooks cannot be molded to fit your ear so they may not provide the most secure fit.

Still, these headphones offer fantastic performance and a feature set to match with top-class waterproofing and battery life.

Conclusion

With all of that being said, there are an absolutely insane amount of wireless earbuds in this price bracket, and even more, if you’re willing to extend your budget a little bit. However, at $50, each of these earbuds offers an excellent price to performance ratio, granting solid auditory response and plenty of features to satisfy.

One thing that should be noted about all of these earbuds is that they carry built-in microphones with a one-touch operation for answering calls. We would’ve included that in each of the descriptions, but there is very little variation between the microphones, all delivering similar performance overall.

In addition, all of the earbuds carry the Bluetooth 4.1 standard which gives connection at around 30 feet away, granting plenty of room between your device and the earbuds.

Taking everything into context, every one of these earbuds will deliver a fantastic experience for a very low price. While not offering as much in the audio department as more expensive options, each pair provides on-par performance with a competent feature set.
